International law and the United Nations are freaks under power politics. It does not have any political beliefs and execution capabilities that can maintain and enhance the well-being of mankind. Because of the lack of effective punishment mechanisms and enforcement entities, their essence is only a buffering consultation mechanism between absolute powers, but their actual effectiveness is very limited.
