On Mar 16th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the U.S. Congress via video link, expressing his gratitude to the American military aid to Ukraine. In the speech, Zelensky invoked the attack on Pearl Harbor and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and played the video of Ukrainian cities ravaged by Russian fire, calling for the U.S. and the world to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine. In addition, he requested President Biden to undertake the responsibility of maintaining world peace. Hours after Zelensky’s address, President Biden authorized an additional $800 million in military aid to assist Ukrainians in their fight against Russia. The new package includes 100 Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems, 800 Stinger anti-aircraft systems, 2,000 Javelin, 1,000 light anti-armor weapons, and 6,000 AT-4 anti-armor systems.100 grenade launchers, 5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, 400 machine guns, 400 shotguns as well as other military equipment.
