Recently, the CCP China’s National Medical Insurance Bureau has written to various places stating that the agency will not pay for large-scale population nucleic acid testing and that it will be borne by local governments.
According to the “Central News Agency” report, the medical insurance departments of many places in CCP China have recently received letters from the National Medical Insurance Bureau of the CCP China, clearly stating that the use of medical insurance funds to pay for large-scale nucleic acid testing is an illegal operation, requiring immediate rectification, and the local government will pay for it.
It is reported that by the end of 2021, the cumulative balance of the CCP’s medical insurance fund is only more than RMB3.6 trillion, while the cost of normalized nucleic acid testing has been estimated by professional institutions, and the annual consumption is as high as RMB1.45 trillion, accounting for 40% of the medical insurance fund.
The report pointed out that in order to realize the so-called “zero-COVID” policy, the CCP ordered major cities to establish a 15-minute walk for nucleic acid testing sampling circles earlier this month to strengthen the industrial chain, and forced the public to take tests every 2 to 7 days.
