The National Institution of Health (NIH) recently published a study report, titled “Neuropathic symptoms with SARS-CoV-2 vaccination”on May 17th, 2022, which is the first and only institutional study report on neurological adverse reactions from CCP virus vaccine.
The study was conducted by a team of Medical Doctor researchers from the Department of Neurology of several leading medical research universities, institutes, hospitals and NIH.
During the observational study, the researchers studied 23 patients (21 female; 2 maile, 27 to 69 years old) to report new neuropathic symptoms beginning within 1 month after CCP virus vaccination.
The researchers found out 100% of the reported sensory symptoms comprises severe face or limb paresthesias, and other severe neuropathic adverse reactions, including:
- Pain and burning in the arms and legs;
- Loss of feelings, tender and sore in the hands and feet;
- Numbness, fatigue, inability to sweat;
- Dry eyes, skin discoloration;
- Migraine, dizziness;
- Difficulty in breathing and increased heart rate;
- Bladder and bowel malfunction;
- Visual impairment and cognitive deficit;
- Vomiting and diarrhea;
- Abnormal blood pressure;
The conclusion of the study is that “a variety of neuropathic symptoms may appear after CCP virus vaccinations and in some patients might be an immune-mediated process. Further investigation is required to explore underlying mechanisms and targeted therapies for these neurologic disorders.”
