According to satellite news agency in New Delhi on May 23rd, Indian Prime Minister Modi began a two-day visit to Japan.  During his visit, he will participate in the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD) and hold separate talks with leaders of Australia, the United States and Japan.

According to the report, the participants in the “Quad Security Dialogue” include India, the United States, Japan and Australia.  The model was initiated by then Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in 2007, as an informal consultation mechanism.

According to reports, Modi wrote on Twitter, “Having landed in Tokyo. During this visit, I will be participating in various events, including attending the ‘Quartet Security Dialogue’, meeting with the leaders of the ‘Quartet Security Dialogue’, meeting with Japanese business leaders and Indian diaspora exchanges.”
