According to a report by CTV News on May 16, Quinn Farm, located on Perrault Island, Quebec, Canada, is welcoming Ukrainian refugees who have just fled the war by providing local agricultural work and living accommodation.
A refugee Ruiko who fled Ukraine a week before the Russian invasion is currently working on the farm. Despite the language barrier, the farmer Quinn and his wife are happy to have helped Ruiko because of their agricultural background.
Local farmers feel they are helping Ukrainian refugees in a meaningful way, the report said. It is reported that Quinn’s grandmother also left the UK during World War II and came to Canada as a refugee. Now, the good-natured couple is also preparing to receive another family from Ukraine at the end of June.
