Reuters reported on May 20 that monkeypox is spreading in Europe.

French health authorities also reported the first confirmed case in Métropole du Grand Paris (MGP) in Paris.

Dutch health authorities also announced the confirmed case of monkeypox on May 20, said there could be more cases.  After the weekend, they will provide updates.

Italian authorities confirmed two new cases and cumulating the total to three.

Spanish health authorities announced 24 confirmed cases.

In the UK, 20 cases have been confirmed so far, and 23 cased confirmed in Portugal.

In addition, hospitals in Israel have announced that a man recently arrived from the West with symptoms suspected of monkeypox.

The first case of monkeypox in Israel was detected in a man, who recently travelled to Western Europe, the Health Ministry confirmed on May 21.
