On May 17, 2022 – at the Ukrainian Refugee Rescue Centre in Medyka, Poland. Adam, a volunteer from the United States, indicated that the Chinese Communist regime has blood on its hands. Still, too many American politicians are kowtowing (kneel and touch the ground with the forehead in worship or submission as part of Chinese custom) to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). We should all stand up and fight back. Adam expressed his sincere support for all the works that the New Federal State of China (NFSC) has done and said if he could get a NFSC flag, he would hang it on his house in Washington, DC, on June 4 – the Independence Day of NFSC.

The following is an interview between Nicole, the Rule of Law Foundation and the New Federal State of China’s volunteer, and Adam, a volunteer from the United States.

Nicole: “Thank you, Adam. It’s good to see you back, and three more volunteers came with you. We will be celebrating our Independence Day on June 4, which will be the second anniversary of the founding of the New Federal State of China. Last year, we had a big celebration in New York. And this year, some of us are still here in Medyka”.

“Everyone remembers the man who stood in front of the tanks during the Tiananmen Square student movement on June 4, 1989, and it was a bloody crackdown. We lost many lives, but their lives were not lost in vain. We will always remember them, just like you have the Jewish Holocaust Memorial and the heroes who died for us will be always in our minds”.

“So, we will celebrate our Independence Day, while the universal values represent the born of the New Federal State of China. Just like the Jewish people, the Israelis, and the people from the rest of the world. They value peace, freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. When I tell you that we will have a Chinese Jerusalem or a Chinese Israel, representing freedom for all Chinese people, both within and outside of China, what do you think about that?”

Adam: “I think it’s possible, and I remember the breakup of the Soviet Union. You know, it happened at about the same time as the Tiananmen Square massacre, and I don’t think it was a coincidence. I think the CCP was afraid that this would happen to them; why were they afraid, and what were they afraid of? They shouldn’t have been afraid of freedom and democracy. The problem was that the regime in power had blood on its hands. When you have blood on your hands, you do many things to avoid culpability to make sure you’re not held accountable. It is clear that the Chinese Communist regime today is afraid of being held accountable by the people. If the Chinese people had a free and fair election, I am sure they would choose a free and open society”.

“A strong government tolerates dissent. And the Chinese want to be respected in the world. The CCP leaders will only gain respect from the people if they respect human rights and grant political freedom. But until they fulfill all the requirements, they are a weak state. You may have a huge economy, but the CCP has achieved that by forcing people to work, even with slave labour camps, and destroying the economies of other countries in that way. So, we all have to stand up against that in due course”.

“I think, far too many U.S. politicians “kowtow” to China. And we’ve never really stood up for China when we should have. We should have been standing up to China in the 80s when it became abundantly clear that this dictatorship was not reforming. It was snapping back to authoritarianism, where people were being disappeared and murdered. But what did Bill Clinton do? He granted CCP the most favoured trade status, which they still have”.

“I do think, though, we’re in a new era since this war started, and if the Chinese Communist Party attacks its self-identified ‘Taiwan Province,’ it will be subject to global sanctions, which will lead to a break in economic ties. I hope that doesn’t happen”.

Nicole replied: “Absolutely.”

Adam continued: “I do think how you make things matters. I work for companies of manufacture. And I mentioned Dr. Bronner’s soap company; I’m meticulous about the source of our raw materials and the production process. We only buy fairtrade ingredients because we don’t want to exploit anyone; we don’t want a child labour kind of workforce. It’s a real problem in the world still”.

“So, you know, I’m with you on this, but I do think change comes incrementally, unfortunately. And you are working toward it. If I get your flag, I will put it in my house in Washington DC on June 4. I really support what you are doing. So, it’s really nice to talk to you again.”
