On May 14th, it was reported that US President Biden signed a bill into law, which had been passed by the House earlier, requiring the Secretary of State to establish a strategy to help Taiwan regain its observer status at the World Health Organization (WHO). The Secretary of State must explain to the Congress if he fails.

The bill calls that the fight against the CCP virus should not be limited by national borders; thus, Taiwan is unnecessarily excluded from WHO cooperation.

It is also reported that the World Health Organization Assembly of this year will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 22 to 28.
