On May 17, local time, it was reported that the Hong Kong Communist government is considering blocking the use of Telegram software. The authority claimed that “human flesh search” has been classified as a criminal offence, and Telegram groups often involve such messages, which will reappear after a few days of deletion.

Due to not being able to delete all related messages in the past few months, the Hong Kong Communist Party is considering banning the entire Telegram software.

It is reported that most of the people who have become targets of frequent human flesh search by netizens are political figures, such as Hong Kong Communist government officials, parliamentarians, and Hong Kong Communist black police. At present, the Hong Kong Communist Party has ordered major online platforms to delete relevant information on the grounds that citizens’ privacy should not be violated. If it involves overseas information platforms, the Hong Kong Communist Party said it will pursue legal responsibility.

The Hong Kong authority has been cooperating closely with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and gradually incorporate Hong Kong into the Mainland’s Internet firewall.
