The largest U.S. insurance provider, Prudential Financial, will lift the vaccine mandate as of June 6. The COVID-19 vaccination requirement for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors entering the company’s facilities will be eliminated, LIFESITE reported on May 13.

Prudential Financial is a Fortune Global 500 and Fortune 500 company that provides insurance, retirement plans, and investment management with total assets of $815.1 billion.

The company memo shows that this policy reversal is consistent with the current vaccination policies of most companies across the United States, including many industry peers and indoor sites. At the same time, the company continues to strongly encourage all employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots. In addition, despite the removal of the mandate, employees are still required to notify their employers of their vaccination status.

The death benefit paid by Prudential Financial increased 87% in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the third quarter of 2020.
