According to a report by Post Millennium on March 2nd, the tense war situation between Russia and Ukraine has led to a surge in global energy prices and is bound to cause an out-of-control rise in the price of food and other necessities in Canada.

The cost of transporting goods in Canada is now multiplied by the continued increase in the price of gasoline and diesel. Since the Russian-Ukrainian war, world crude oil prices have risen from $92 to $109 a barrel, and the price of natural gas has also risen by 7 cents a day.

The Canadian Energy Association warned that the sharp rise in crude oil prices will increase the price of Canadian agricultural products and food by at least 35%, which will lead to an unprecedented economic crisis and hyperinflation.
