Source from cn.theaustralian.com.au on Feb. 2; Copenhagen AFP reported on January 1 that Denmark becomes the first country in EU lifting nearly all the pandemic control restrictions despite of a high infection rate of Omicron variant in the country, saying goodbye to masks and health passports.

Denmark now keep only a few restrictions at the border for non-vaccinated travelers from non-Schengen countries.

Since Denmark’s initial attempt to lift COVID-19 restrictions from September to November last year, the country has now lifted almost all the COVID-19 restrictions. There is no business hour limit for Bars and restaurants.

There are currently around 40,000 to 50,000 COVID-19 infection new cases every day in Denmark, about 1% of the country’s 5.8 million population. Health officials are optimistic that the daily cases will drop soon.
