The U.S. Navy announced on Wednesday that it has discharged 45 service members, including 23 active-duty personnel, who refused to be vaccinated with the COVID vaccine. As of Thursday, 5,035 active-duty personnel and 2,860 reserves had not been vaccinated, according to the official notice. Of the active duty personnel who have not been vaccinated, 10 received permanent medical waivers and 259 received temporary medical waivers, including 59 administrative waivers.
