With only two weeks left before the official opening of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher proposed an act called Freedom for Peng Shuai. In this act, he asked the U.S. government to impose sanctions on key officials of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in accordance with the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.
