British Politician Nigel Farage, nicknamed “Mr Brexit,” announced last Saturday that he would step down from electoral politics and his position as leader of the Reform UK party. He vows to continue the fight to free the United Kingdom from the grip of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the wokeism slowly strangling the West.
Mr “Brexit” Farage’s announcement comes just over two months following Britain’s exit from the European Union (EU). Former Brexit Party Member of European Parliament Richard Tice will replace Mr Farage as Reform UK party leader.
“There is no going back. Brexit is done. That won’t be reversed. I know I’ve come back once or twice when people thought I’d gone, but this is it. It’s done. It’s over,” Mr Farage told The Telegraph in an interview.
“Now’s the moment for me to say I’ve knocked on my last door. I’m going to step down as the leader of Reform UK. I’ll have no executive position at all. I’m quite happy to have an honorary one, but party politics, campaigning, being involved in elections, that is now over for me because I’ve achieved the one thing I set out to do: to achieve the independence of the UK.”
The British politician said it was an honour to have led the grassroots rebellion for Brexit. He noted it remarkable that a referendum was even held when no person of real influence in the UK had even advocated leaving the EU.
Mr Farage initially declared his retirement from the position of leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) after the pro-Brexit victory in the 2016 EU referendum. Yet Mr Farage reappeared on the electoral politics scene in 2019 as a member of the new Brexit Party, amid concerns the Westminster establishment would overthrow the original referendum results.
The Brexit party succeeded in its first election. It won 29 seats in the European Parliament elections, the highest number out of all parties. This result was a humiliating defeat for the formerly dominant Conservative Party, foreshadowing the resignation of anti-Brexit advocate and former UK Prime Minister Theresa May.
Mr Farage stated on his YouTube channel that the UK would likely still be in the EU if it was not for the Brexit party.
Although the former Brexit party leader is leaving electoral politics, he will stay in the political arena to continue his battle against the Chinese Communist Party influence over Britain, especially its government. At the beginning of 2021, in January, Mr Farage declared his campaign following the successful completion of Brexit; to cut Britain from its reliance on the CCP. He warned the communist regime poses an even more significant threat to Britain than the EU.
The British politician gave a special mention to the wokeist curriculum forced upon students and teachers by the British Department for Education. The British education system brainwashes students as young as seven-years-old to hate their nation and culture instead of teaching them critical thinking skills. The same problematic phenomenon is occurring in education systems throughout the Western world. Unsurprisingly, the CCP has also bought its way into the Western educational system, primarily through its Confucius Institutes, to compromise the Western education system and manipulate the future generations of what is supposed to be the free world.
Mr Farage also stated his plans to continue using social media, particularly YouTube, to spread his message.
“I have built up over these years quite a considerable social media platform . . . So I want to go on influencing the debate. I want to go on changing debate. But I can do that without going out and fighting elections,” said Mr Farage.
Since 2020 the former UKIP and Brexit party leader has exposed the lousy response from the supposedly conservative Tory government, led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, to the mounting migrant crisis in the English Channel.
