• Joan Donovan from Harvard Kennedy School posted a case study on the Media Manipulation Case Book, slamming Dr. Yan titled: “Cloaked in Science. Yan’s Report.”

o Joan Donovan claimed that “the Yan Report is a misleading article masquerading as science, which falsely claims that the novel coronavirus was made in a Chinese lab.” However, Donovan is the Research Director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, with absolutely no scientific background. What makes her qualified to make such a conclusion?

• Today, the Washington Post responded to Donovan’s argument with an article titled “Theory goes viral despite scientists’ unverified challenge to claims that China made virus.”

o Earlier this week, the Washington Post reporter had a video conversation with Dr. Yan for more than an hour. Although it is a left-leaning media with a different perspective from ours, Dr. Yan is grateful that they quoted her words as they were.
