Reference News Network reported on January 13 that according to Latin American News Agency’s report on January 11, the CCP government has introduced various measures such as free ticket refunds, strict quarantine and salary incentives to discourage people from traveling during the traditional Chinese New Year. People are suggested to stay and celebrate the festival in the place of residence so as to curb the rebound of the CCP virus epidemic.
According to the report, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Henan, Hubei and other places have issued notices to encourage migrant workers to stay in their places of employment. People had better not return to their hometowns for the Spring Festival unless there are some force majeure reasons.
For example, Wuhan City requires that all people who return to Wuhan or return home for the Spring Festival in low-risk areas across the country must hold a certificate of negative nucleic acid test within 7 days. If the negative result of nucleic acid test cannot be provided, the community will arrange nucleic acid test for them and conduct community health management for 14 days.
The report also said that in some companies in China, employees who are scheduled to work overtime during the Spring Festival not only get three times their wages, but they also get extra bonuses every day. Railway companies and many airlines already provide free refund services. The report pointed out that the State Council’s Joint Mechanism Team for Coronavirus Prevention and Control will be responsible for monitoring the situation across the country because there will always be a certain number of people moving across the country during the Spring Festival. This year’s Spring Festival Transport is expected to last from January 28 to early March.
