Back on January 23, 2020, researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, published an article on the bioRxiv preprint platform suggesting that the CCP virus may have originated from bats. The article named this genetically closest virus to SARS-CoV-2 as “RaTG13” and published the genome of the virus with 96.2% sequence identity with the CCP virus. However, the only information known to the outside world about the origin of RaTG13 is what the CCP claims: it was found in the Yunnan Tongguan bat Rhinolophus Affinis.

Under what circumstances was RaTG13 actually extracted? Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology did not give a clear answer. According to Etienne Decroly, a viral expert at the French National Centre for Scientific Research: “Many of us were very surprised by how little information the authors provided about the origin of this virus, which is crucial to understanding the origin of this epidemic!” . The above paper from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was slightly revised and published by the journal Nature on Feb. 3, but it did not contain more details about how the virus was sampled and in what kind of environment it was found.

In July, Shi Zhengli, a virologist at the P4 research laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, tried to dispel doubts in an interview with the journal Science. She confirmed that RaTG13 is RaBtCoV / 4991, extracted from bats in the abandoned Yunnan mine cave. But the doubts are not completely removed.

Daniel Lucey, a professor of infectious diseases at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., who doesn’t want to rule out other options so easily. “More than a dozen months have passed since the first confirmed case of the CCP virus appeared, but we have yet to find the animal source,” he said. “So to me, that’s all the more reason to investigate other explanations.” His question is: Is there a virus being studied in Chinese laboratories that is genetically closer to Sars-Cov-2? Would they have informed the outside world if they ever had? “Not all of the research will be published.”

Virologist Dr. Yan Limeng criticized the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) for working together to hide information and divert attention to Shi Zhengli’s fictional RaTG13 bat virus, and later the pangolin virus. She also said she does not trust all the experts who agree on the natural origin of the CCP virus because, as experts, they must be able to detect the difference in the Chinese government’s statement.

She said in an interview with NewsMax that the CCP virus was designed based on the Zhoushan bat coronavirus, which was discovered and owned by the CCP’s military laboratory, and that “no one else can get it, and the Chinese government encourages this kind of research, certain functional enhancement research, and (encourages) the search for new types of zoonotic viruses to fit that purpose.”

Yan Limeng’s second report points out that the pandemic was the result of the CCP’s “unrestricted biological warfare,” noting that “before SARS-CoV-2 came out, the Chinese government was already recruiting scientists and even their overseas collaborators to falsify data, a crazy, mega-scale falsification of clinical data that peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, The Lancet, and the New England Journal of Medicine were involved, and the data actually sent people the wrong message to believe that the virus originated in nature, and if you take away the fabrication, you find that all the evidence clearly points to SARS-CoV-2 originating from the Chinese Communist Party-run laboratory.”

In any case, it is only with the cooperation of the Chinese side that the origin of the CCP virus can be truly clarified, and in the present case, the delegation of international experts is still barred from conducting the investigation in Wuhan without hindrance. Perhaps the world should take more direct and forceful measures to “break down the door” and find out the evidence of the Chinese Communist Party’s “unrestricted biological warfare”. Only by identifying and eliminating the source of the virus can we truly solve the deep crisis that the CCP virus has brought to all of humanity.
