Xi Jinping, chairman of China Communist Party (CCP) Military Commission, continues to tell his armed forces that they should be prepared for potential war in the face of heightened hostilities from United States, particularly over the issue of Taiwan.
Addressing a room full of PLA leaders and officers at Beijing’s Jingxi Hotel last week, Xi praised and PLA entered the “new era” of highly modernized combat power that has transformed PLA into a world-class fighting force.
In his speech to the Central Military Commission (CMC), he ordered all officers and soldiers to focus on preparing for battle “under actual combat conditions,” according to a quote from CCP’s Xinhua News Agency.
He further stressed that the nation’s military should “defy hardships and fear no death” while further committing to deepening training,
“Military training is a regular central task of the military, it is the basic way to generate and improve combat power, and it is the most direct preparation for military combat,” Xi Jinping was quoted by Xinhua as saying.
Over the past month, Xi has toured military bases while overseeing readiness and preparation. It also comes as the navy and air force have stepped up drills off China’s coast, particularly near the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
Western analysts and media tend to comprehend this latest rhetoric as more than a common war preparation that all national militaries would do.
Earlier this month, China’s state broadcaster released footage of Chinese soldiers firing multiple missiles to shoot down enemy targets during a live-fire exercise.
In a clip released by Beijing in September, nuclear-capable bombers can be seen conducting a simulated attack on what appears to be the U.S. Andersen Air Force Base on the Pacific island of Guam.
China has been showing military muscle since tensions between the U.S. and China over the Taiwan issue.
Xi Jinping’s urging of a review of PLA’s war preparations on Taiwan reveals CCP’s unquestionable intent and impulse to take Taiwan. CCP’s move to take Taiwan by force will inevitably invite United States and its allies to take action. This logic is not entirely motivated by U.S. desire to protect Taiwan’s democracy and values, but rather by the fact that U.S. and CCP are already in a state of war, in a sense. This is because CCP’s military laboratory has already caused 13.4 million infections and more than 260,000 deaths in the U.S. CCP is deeply involved in the criminal fraud in the U.S. presidential election of 2020. If CCP violates Taiwan by force, U.S. will definitely overwhelm CCP with a thunderbolt and a complete “revenge” for the war that CCP has already initiated.
The military weapons and training systems from CCP’s “fakement, steal, fraud” make it impossible to compete with the superior military power of United States. The new U.S. Defense Secretary Christopher Miller recently issued an unprecedented warning to CCP – U.S. military is capable of launching a devastating military strike against the CCP within 72 hours at any time, and within 72 hours, it can take out all Chinese warships, armed fishing boats disguised as merchant vessels and the submarines that CCP called “Great Wall”.
Xi Jinping’s reference to the nation’s military to “defy hardships and fear no death” is like acknowledging that the war between PLA and U.S. military was about making the PLA cannon fodder.
