Some Demonstrators Accused of Rioting By Hong Kong Police

Police amended the charge on 16 people from unlawful assembly to rioting and charged another 12 people more after 4 months.

16 people were originally charged with unlawful assembly and 1 was charged with rioting during the Tsim Sha Tsui police-civilan clashes on August 11. Prosecution changed the charge to rioting and 12 new defendants were added to the case with the same charge of rioting after 4 months.

Some defendants objected to the amendment and their cases will be handled on Jan 29, 2020. Other cases were adjourned to Feb 24, 2020 for referral to the district court.

But we want to know who should be responsible for so many Hong Kong people being injured, killed or even passive suicide?
