Secretary of State Pompeo responded to a question at the Press Briefing on September 2, 2020 on the alarming trend of China’s military according to the newly published annual China military report. Pompeo responded that the Trump Administration has put the largest defense budgets ($700+ billion over 2 years) in American history in front of Congress and they’ve passed it, to make sure that America has the tools it needs to respond to any threat, including threats that emanate from the Chinese Communist Party.
