Govern The Country By “Iron Fist”, CCP Controls Everything Is The Key

According to a Chinese media Sohu reported on August 31, President Xi attended the 7th Tibet Work Conference from August 28 to 29. To maintain the stability and the national solidarity of Tibet, educate the masses against “separatism,” he proposed that China must build an ” impregnable fortress “.

Therefore, the political aspect must adhere to the leadership of CCP, strengthen the construction of political system, the control of senior leaders and the grassroots; enhance the political and ideological construction of party members, improve their ability to deal, or prevent major struggles and risks.

To sustain the unity of China, redouble national unity, the CCP must promote the education and guidance of the masses on the history between Tibet and China; mobilize the masses to participate in the struggle for separatism; strengthen ideological, political, and patriotic education in schools; reinforce the recognition of all ethnic groups on the great motherland, the Chinese nation, Chinese culture, the CCP, and socialism with Chinese characteristics; guide the masses to deeply realize they are sharing a community of destiny with CCP.

Religious aspects should increase CCP’s monitoring of it to make Tibetan religions line with the development of the CCP’s style of socialism. Besides, to improve people’s livelihood, CCP may promote the construction of major infrastructure, public service facilities, and protect the ecology.

However, CCP seized control over Tibet in 1950 in what it describes as a “peaceful liberation” that helped the remote Himalayan region throw off its “feudalist” past. But critics, led by exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, said Beijing’s rule amounts to “cultural genocide”.[1]

Advocacy group the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) said Xi’s remarks showed Chinese rule still needed to be imposed with an “iron fist” and the president of the ICT, Matteo Mecacci mentioned that: “If Tibetans benefited as much from Chinese leadership as Xi and other officials claim, then China wouldn’t have to fear separatism and wouldn’t need to subject Tibetans to political re-education.”[1]

Moreover, in July 7, there was an official announcement from the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, stated that the U.S. will implement visa restrictions under the reciprocal access to Tibet Act, which includes visa restrictions on PRC government and Chinese Communist Party officials determined to be “substantially involved in the formulation or execution of policies related to access for foreigners to Tibetan areas” .[2]
