Four members of Tin Shui Wai Connection including Ng Kin-wei, Lam Chun, Leon Kwun and Frasier Hau, marched from YOHO mall to Yuen Long Police Station, with an aim to file a complaint about the alleged Triad-police collusion on 21 July, 2019.
However, they were encircled and intercepted by many riot police. It was the third time on the same day that police intercepted and issued penalty tickets to them, citing group gathering restrictions (599G) which apply to more than 4 people.
Police hoisted the blue flag, calling the march illegal.
At 18:43 o’clock, shops started to shut down as the police extended their cordon line to the main road.
Later at Yau San Street, the four members of Tin Shui Wai Connection were still encircled by the police.
A senior citizen held the “5+1” hand gesture, symbolizing “five demands, no one less” in Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protest.
Police demanded her to leave by citing the gathering ban.
