Russian authorities said on January 13 that more than 2,000 troops led by Russia had begun withdrawing from Kazakhstan.

Agence France-Presse reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the collective peacekeeping force has begun preparations to load equipment and supplies onto the Russian Aerospace Forces military transport aircraft to return to the permanent base.
