On January 8, New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) reported the explosion at the government canteen of Fengshan Subdistrict Office in Wulong District, Chongqing – a municipality in southwest China.
According to Yang Lin, deputy secretary-general of Chongqing Municipal Government, the explosion occurred at around 12:10 P.M. on January 7 (BJT) when some clerks of Fengshan Subdistrict Office were having lunch at the canteen. It tore down the two-storied building of brick-concrete structure with a land area of around 70 square meters and threw 26 people under the rubble. By midnight of the same day, all 26 people had been found, with 16 of them dead and the other still undergoing emergency rescue. The explosion is suspected to be caused by natural gas leakage.
Such a grave accident at a canteen of a grassroots government unit in Chongqing is definitely not a good news for Chen Min’er, municipal party secretary of Chongqing and Xi Jinping’s henchman as he was just named as a potential candidate for the membership of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau (Poliburo), the top leadership council of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Coverage of the accident by domestic and foreign media has sparked speculation about an escalation of the infighting between Xin and other party factions headed by Jiang Zemin (former President of Communist China), Zeng Qinghong (former Poliburo member), and Wang Qishan (current vice president of Communist China) before the CCP‘s 20th National Congress slated for the second half of this year.
Mr. Miles Guo warned the audience of potential natural gas fueled explosions around the Beijing Winter Olympics as a means to bring down or even assassinate Xi Jinping in his broadcast on December 19, 2021. Is this accident part of the plot to cripple Xi’s faction? Let’s see how it unfolds.
