Hu Weifeng, deputy chief physician of the Department of Urology in Wuhan Central Hospital, who attracted world attention after his skin darkened due to virus treatment, was showing symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage on the evening of the 22nd.

A chief physician of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (referred to as Wuhan Tongji Hospital) told a reporter about Dr. Hu: “The current situation is very bad.”

A deputy chief physician at Wuhan Central Hospital also confirmed this information.

Li Shusheng, director of the Department of Emergency and Critical Medicine of Wuhan Tongji Hospital, said in an interview on April 20 that Dr. Hu Weifeng had stopped using the ventilator for 10 days. He was gradually returning to normal breathing with the help of nasal catheter for oxygen.

Due to kidney damage, he was given dialysis treatment every other day.

Because he had been in bed for 99 days, the overall condition of his body was weak. He was able to sit up in bed, but could not walk.

His months’ long coma and medical treatment left him with certain psychological obstacles, and he was so traumatized that he couldn’t stop talking to the doctors around him. In response to his mental or psychological problems, it is now very important for him to undergo physical and psychological rehabilitation.

Hu Weifeng was infected with CCP virus and became critially ill. He was saved by the artificial lung (ECMO), but his “face turned black” and received widespread attention from netizens.

The Chinese Communist Party is not transparent about the virus or its treatment. So far these are the only two cases of dramatic skin color change reported by the Chinese state media. Is the CCP using these two doctors for clinical trials of new medicines? If not, why didn’t more similar cases surface?

Their complexion is returning to normal after stopping taking polymyxin B according to the Chinese state media:
