On December 10, U.S. media reported that the New York State Gaming Commission is issuing three new casino licenses for the southernmost region of the state, with one of the bids including new plans for “the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading floor.”
The new casino is known to be named “Mirai,” meaning “future” in Japanese. On Dec. 10, funding manager Ader, a board member of Sands Corp., submitted the casino plan that was bid as part of a partnership with Universal Entertainment Corp.
The project, slated to cost more than $3 billion, will include an eSports arena, a venue to host events such as New York’s Fashion Week, as well as a landing pad for flying cars.
