Pompeo Issued a Long Post Calling for a Full Boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics

Translated by: MOS finance team – Linda Progress

On December 3, Mr. Pompeo, the former Secretary of State, issued a long article calling on the United States to fully unite with global allies and partners to boycott the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Pompeo emphasized that what happened with the Chinese Communist Party cannot help but remind people of the terrible history of the German Nazi Holocaust, and it even has impressive potential to surpass the Nazis.

Pompeo said that the Olympics had been a symbol of freedom, fair competition, and athletic talent since ancient Greece. On an international stage, it would be a betrayal of this tradition for China to host the game as the country does not respect any rules or regulations.  In Communist China, the reporter who reported the truth about the virus disappeared, anyone who challenged authority, were silenced, and Hong Kongers were politically persecuted. Beijing’s mass incarceration of Uighur Muslims, a policy that Pompeo, in his final full day in office, declared to be genocide.  This communist regime with extreme contempt for human rights is not worthy of hosting important events of prestige and honor.

Pompeo emphasized that what happened with the Chinese Communist Party cannot help but remind people of the terrible history of the German Nazi Holocaust, and it even has impressive potential to surpass the Nazis.  Boycotting the Winter Olympics is a political statement and in line with the balance of the health and safety of the athletes.  The Olympic Committee and the NBA should respond to the initiative of the World Women’s Tennis Association and entirely boycott the Winter Olympics and other significant events held by the Chinese Communist Party.
