In a story published by The Epoch Times on the 29th November 2021, it tells the very alarming news that the CCP is to be imposing a shipping geolocation blackout apparently for ‘national security concerns’ which just indicates that the shipping fleets are to be used for either illegal military purposes or to aid China’s ever-expanding mass of illegal fishing trawlers that are raping the oceans of neighbouring nations.

The CCP has many ways in which they violate the oceans from strategies involving launching missiles from civilian looking cargo ships, “grey zone” tactics, such as the surrounding of islands it intends to obtain or steal by its maritime militia disguised as fishing boats and their illegal night-time squid trawlers who as instructed by the CCP turn off their automatic identification system (AIS) when fishing in other countries’ exclusive economic zones (EEZs).

Now the question should be is the CCP shipping blackout a reaction to apparent ‘national security concerns’ with “part of China’s legislative efforts to control how and whether its sovereign data can be accessed by domestic and foreign organisations.” being said by Cichen Shen, APAC editor, or is it just another regime smokescreen for more sinister and malicious motives from this proven bully of the far east.
