On November 22, Kansas Republican lawmakers moved to challenge the state’s vaccine mandates policy and asked Governor Laura Kelly to call a special session to study measures to respond the CCP virus, and to actively promote employers to accept all requests for religious exemptions.
Kelly said in a statement, “ I don’t believe this directive from President Biden is the correct, or the most effective solution for the State of Kansas… we have already developed systems and strategies that are tailored for our special needs.”
On the same day, the Kansas Senate voted to approve a relative bill as well as a ban on private employers issuing vaccine mandates.
