By: MOS Translation Team – 文五月

On November 14, Simon, the president of the International Women’s Tennis Association, issued a public statement asking the Chinese Communist Regime to conduct a full investigation into the Shuai Peng sexual assault allegations. The statement claimed Shuai Peng and all women deserve to be heard rather than censored. Her allegations of sexual assault against Gaoli Zhang, a former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) high-ranking leader, must be taken with utmost seriousness.

Simon also stated the International Women’s Tennis Association wants the CCP to handle the allegations in the right way, conducting a full, fair, and transparent investigation into Peng’s accusations without censorship during the process.

Shuai Peng reportedly made the allegation of sexual assault by Zhang Gaoli, former Vice Premier and a former member of the CCP‘s Politburo Standing Committee, through her Weibo account on November 2, but the post was deleted shortly after its publication and the account became inaccessible thereafter. Shuai Peng is currently out of contact, with no updates about her well-being and situation.
