In the last few days, Raphael Glucksmann, the head of the European Parliament Delegation, completed his visit to Taiwan and unveiled, during an interview, that E.U. is considering establishing a platform in Taiwan to combat CCP’s misinformation and propaganda.

At the current stage, E.U. and Taiwan should unite and form an anti-fake news platform to release a strong and clear signal to demonstrate the strong willingness of the democratic society frighting against the CCP’s threats and attacks.

Glucksmann also met President Tsai Ing-wen. He eulogized Taiwan’s efforts in response to information battle and cyberattacks from CCP. He was also impressed by Taiwan’s whole-society approaches, including think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and journalists, to combat disinformation which is worth adopting by Europe.

Glucksmann emphasized that a series of fake news from CCP, especially in the recent two years, related to Covid-19 pandemic propaganda, induced massive damage to the democratic society. The worldwide CCP related cyberattacks also increased dramatically. At the current stage, E.U. and Taiwan should unite and form an anti-fake news platform to release a strong and clear signal to demonstrate the strong willingness of the democratic society frighting against the CCP’s threats and attacks.
