According to the Pentagon’s regulations on the vaccination of Covid-19, the immunization would become mandatory for nation’s 2.1 million troops, exemptions would be rare and those who refuse would be punished. As the deadline approaches, there are still hundreds of thousands of U.S. service members who refuse to give up their authority and refuse to be vaccinated.
There are different vaccination deadlines across the different services – The Navy and Marine Corps both share a November 28 deadline. The Air Force’s deadline is November 2 and the Army’s deadline is December 15. More than 92% of active service members have received at least one dose of vaccine, which is very worrying. About 103,000 troops chose not to be vaccinated.
