On October 9 local time, CCP solemnly held a grand event to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. During this event, Xi Jinping gave a lengthy speech and vowed to achieve “complete national unity” by fully occupying Taiwan. This is so far one of his strongest speech ever regarding the Taiwan issue, and it took place right after CCP diplomat Yang Jiechi met U.S. national security advisor Jake Sullivan in Switzerland.

1911 Revolution, also known as Xinhai Revolution, was led by Sun Yat-sen and began in Wuhan on October 10, 1911. October 10 later became Taiwan’s national day. 1911 revolution ended more than 2,000 years of imperial rule in China and turned China into a republic. However, CCP was founded in 1921 and later (in 1949) usurped the legal Chinese government (Republic of China), which is now Taiwan.

Below are some excerpts of Xi Jinping’s speech during the 110th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution:

Xi first tied CCP to 1911 revolution led by Sun Yat-sen, which is a desperate attempt to legitimize CCP regime: “The Chinese Communists are the most steadfast supporters, most loyal collaborators, and most loyal successors of Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s revolution. CCP put forward the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal democratic revolution program at the beginning of its establishment, and worked hand in hand with the Chinese Kuomintang led by Mr. Sun Yat-sen to help the Kuomintang complete its reorganization and establish the broadest revolutionary united front.”

Xi also said that they need to “resolutely overcome any major risks and challenges that may hinder the ‘rejuvenation process’ of the Chinese nation with the will and quality of daring to fight, good at fighting, and resolutely safeguard the national sovereignty, security, and development interests.”

He then said, “Mr. Sun Yat-sen once said that reunification is the hope of all Chinese people. If we can be unified, the people of the whole country will enjoy the blessings; otherwise they will suffer. The Taiwan issue arises when this nation was weak and chaotic, and will surely be resolved as the nation rejuvenates. This is determined by the general developing trend of the Chinese nation, and it is the common will of all Chinese people.

As Mr. Sun Yat-sen said, who follow the mighty world trend will prosper, and those who reject it will perish. To achieve the reunification of the fatherland by peaceful means is most in line with the overall interests of the Chinese nation, including the Taiwan compatriots. We adhere to the basic policy of peaceful reunification and one country, two systems. We also adhere to the one-China principle and the 1992 consensus, and promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations. Compatriots on both sides of the strait must ‘stand on the right side of history’ and jointly create the glorious cause of the complete reunification of the fatherland and the ‘great national rejuvenation’.”

Xi further threatened, “The Chinese nation has a glorious tradition of opposing division and maintaining unity. The division of “Taiwan independence force” is the biggest obstacle to the reunification of the fatherland and a serious hidden danger to national rejuvenation. Those who forget their ancestors, betray the motherland, or split the country will never end well. They will surely be spurned by the people and judged by history!”

Finally, he revealed his true purpose of this “1911 Revolution Anniversary”: “The Taiwan issue is purely China’s internal affairs, and no ‘foreign interference’ is allowed. No one should underestimate the Chinese people’s determination, will, and strong ability to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity! The historical task of the complete reunification of the fatherland MUST be fulfilled, and it will DEFINITELY be fulfilled!”

Regarding Xi’s speech above, Mr. Miles Guo posted on his GETTR account: “October 8th: CCP uses Sun (Yat-sen) as an excuse to destroy Taiwan and will occupy Taiwan by military. The speech is over and Taiwan is in danger!”
