China Cries For More Coal Supply To Address The Dire Power Shortages

A report carried by Reuters on September 28th, 2021, reveals that, China is facing dire power shortages sparked by a severe lack of coal supplies, crippling the country’s large sections of industry and residential use.

Amid pledged efforts from government officials to try to get the problem solved, whether it can be addressed over a short period of time remains a question.     

According to Miles Guo, founder of the Whistleblower Movement and the New Federal State of China, the flaws between China’s state-owned power grid operators and the market pricing system are ultimately to blame for the existing problem.
