The CCP Sent Fighter Jets to Harass Taiwan After Taiwan Applied to Join CPTTP

Translated by: MOS Finance Team – Leah

On September 23, right after Taiwan formally applied to join the CPTPP, the CCP sent 24 fighter planes in succession to disturb Taiwan’s air defense identification zone. Taiwan’s air force also followed the usual practice of monitoring and driving away Chinese fighter planes. Such harassing attacks has become routine.

CPTPP members include eleven countries, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Brunei and other countries. The CCP has never expressed its intention to join the CPTPP, but suddenly on September 16, it formally applied to join the organization right before Taiwan.

The CPTPP organization adopts a consensus system, and any country or entity apply for membership must be approved by all member countries.

With a pending application itself, The CCP, for sure cannot stop Taiwan’s application. It can only express its displeasure through forceful attacks and intimidation, a truly gangster’s behavior.
