The White House may consider arranging a meeting for President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping. On October 17th, White House National Security Adviser John Sullivan stated that the upcoming G20 summit in Italy in October may be the venue for the two leaders to meet.

During the conference call, Sullivan said it is time for the U.S. and Chinese leaders to “take stock of where we are in the relationship.” Both sides will find out the correct method of contact for the presidents of the two countries. “It could be a phone call, it could be a meeting on the margins of another international summit, it could be something else,” Sullivan said. No final decision has been made yet.

Beijing had expected Biden to become a “pro-China” president. In 2011, he visited Beijing as vice president and was hospitalized by Xi Jinping. Last year, it was revealed that his son Hunter Biden had business dealings with Chinese companies controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. However, Biden has always followed former President Donald Trump’s core policy towards China.

Since taking office, President Biden has only talked with Xi Jinping on the phone during the Chinese Lunar New Year in 2021. However, the two sides have not made any substantial progress on trade, Covid-19, human rights, or any other controversial issues. Since then, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken and National Security Adviser Sullivan met with CCP Central Committee member Yang Jiechi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi at the Anchorage Airport in Alaska. This was the first highest-level face-to-face meeting between the U.S. and China during Biden’s presidency, but the meeting ended on a hard note.

President Biden issued a statement at the end of May calling on the intelligence community to complete a conclusive report on the origin of Covid-19 investigation within 90 days.

At the G7 and U.S.-EU summits, Biden successfully reached a consensus with his allies to conduct a thorough investigation of the source of the Covid-19 virus, condemn the CCP’s human rights violations in Xinjiang and Hong Kong, and will work together to respond to the threats of the Chinese Communist Party.

At the just-concluded U.S.-Russia summit, the two sides signed a joint statement on strategic stability. At a press conference after the U.S.-Russia summit, a Fox News reporter asked Biden whether he would call on Xi Jinping to push for investigation of the origin of the Covid-19 virus as an old friend. Biden replied, “We know each other well; we are not old friends. It’s just pure business.”

Facts in the past few months have proved that the United States has used common values and core interests to unite its allies against the CCP, and the channel for U.S.-China dialogue is disappearing. The G20 summit is a good opportunity for the United States to win support from more countries.

The truth about the Covid-19 virus is a sword to destroy the Chinese Communist Party. October is also the deadline of the Covid-19 virus origin investigation. With the Covid-19 investigation report in his hand, President Biden can directly request Xi Jinping to open the laboratory, to cooperate with the investigation, or unite all affected countries to claim compensation. The talks at that time will be an ultimatum for the Chinese Communist Party.
