On April 28, 2021, the Florida House of Representatives approved a bill that would limit local emergency orders and implement Governor Ron DeSantis’ executive order to ban COVID-19 vaccine “passports.” The state House passed this proposal by a vote of 76 to 40. The State Senate passed the bill last week, but due to changes made by the House, the bill needs to be resubmitted to the Senate for deliberation.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order on April 2, banning the use of COVID-19 vaccine passports in the state. “The order prohibits any government entity from issuing vaccine passports and prohibits businesses from requiring consumers to provide any this type of proofing documentation. The governor indicated that the concerns for individual freedom and privacy are the primary reason behind this executive order. Moreover, some Floridians do not have opportunities to be vaccinated and some others may not be able to get vaccinated because of health, religion, or other reasons.” The Legislature has now permanentized the executive order.

Texas and Iowa have also issued related executive orders. U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy slammed the idea of the Covid-19 vaccine passport, claiming that it better suits “Communist China” rather than the United States. The Biden administration has also stated that they would not issue vaccine passports because of privacy issues.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus is a biological weapon that will never possibly have vaccines, and all alleged vaccines so far are ineffective medications or even harmful. Vaccine passports violate human rights, the same as the CCP’s health QR code system to control people. To mandatorily promote the “vaccine passport” will oblige many people who are previously not willing to be vaccinated to get the vaccine because of their life and work. The publishing of the bill will better protect individual freedom and patients’ privacy, and we expect the introduction of similar bills from more countries and regions.
