According to BBC News, Wuhan “hero” doctor Li Wenliang died of the novel coronavirus. He was one of eight people, who are doctors, threatened by the Chinese government for spreading “rumors” about the SARS-like outbreak in Wuhan.
The Wuhan Police Station’s discipline document signed by Doctor Li using a “template”:
Discipline reason: spread false information in a WeChat group about seven SARS-like cases related to Huanan Fruit and Seafood Market on Dec 30, 2019.
Police: Warning and verbal discipline for unstabilizing the society in violation of Chinese law. You must stop the illegal behavior. Can you obey?
Doctor Li: Yes (authenticated by his fingerprint)
Police: We hope you can calm down and think it over. We solemnly warn you: it is a crime punishable by law if you continue the illegal behavior. Do you understand?
Doctor Li: I understand (authenticated by his fingerprint)
