A draft report from the World Health Organisation (WHO) COVID-19 origins investigation to Wuhan, obtained by the Associated Press, states the early cases of the COVID-19 virus was likely transmitted from animals to humans. Top U.S. officials have accredited the hypothesis that the virus escaped from a Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) lab. Still, the WHO report dismisses this claim as extremely unlikely, despite the increasing evidence backing the theory. The report encouraged further research into all possible origin theories except for the lab leak theory.
The report centres on an international WHO team investigation into Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei province, where COVID-19 was first reported from January to February 2020. The outbreak was first believed to have originated in Wuhan’s Huanan seafood market in December 2019, as it sold wild animal products that could have hosted the virus. However, the report does not confirm this theory, citing the discovery of cases before the Huanan market outbreak suggesting other origins.
“No firm conclusion therefore about the role of the Huanan market in the origin of the outbreak, or how the infection was introduced into the market, can currently be drawn,” reads the report.
The report’s continual delay has raised suspicions of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) interference with the information to deflect any pandemic blame on the regime. Reuters reported last week that numerous WHO officials believed China was possibly withholding critical data proving the virus was circulating earlier than first reported.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and current U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken have expressed their doubts regarding the CCP-supported investigation and the communist regime’s favoured animal origins hypothesis.
In a recent CNN interview, Mr Blinken also stated his concerns surrounding the report’s methodology and process, including Beijing’s alleged role in putting the document together.
According to an anonymous source leak to the Daily Mail, Mr Pompeo knew China eavesdropped on a phone call in which he claimed the virus leaked from a WIV lab.
“We did it on an open phone to ensure the Chinese could hear it. We were sending a message – we wanted to tell the Chinese,” the source said.
Furthermore, Former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield told CNN that the CCP’s suspicious behaviour hinted at possible cover-up attempts in a Sunday interview.
“I still think the most likely etiology of this pathogen in Wuhan was from a laboratory — you know, escaped. Other people don’t believe that. That’s fine,” stated Mr Redfield.
The writers of the draft WHO report seem to be among these non-believers. The report offers four scenarios as the possible origins of COVID-19. Indirect transmission of the virus from bats to humans via an unidentified animal source was rated as the most likely explanation. Direct transmission from bats to humans was considered credible, and infection through food products possible but unlikely.
The lab leak hypothesis was rated the least likely of all the scenarios. The report claimed laboratory accidents as rare, citing the supposed high management standards in the Wuhan labs experimenting with coronaviruses and vaccines. The document further comments the record of SARS-CoV-2-related viruses in all Wuhan laboratories before December 2019 as zero and that the accidental virus growth risk was low.
Various reports state the CCP manipulated the entire investigation to avoid responsibility for the pandemic, including taking investigators to a museum that glorified the CCP’s handling of the pandemic. With the way the WHO report fervently praises the regime’s virus response, it seems the corrupt organisation quickly fell into the trap.
The WHO’s failure to contain COVID-19 in 2019 and 2020 has caused the organisation to lose much of its credibility. Add its investigation team’s indirect affiliations with the CCP through the WIV, including Peter Daszak, who admitted to WIV coronavirus manipulation experiments in 2019, to the mix, and this draft report becomes almost impossible to believe.
The evidence of a WIV laboratory virus leak is continuing to build, and it is only a matter of time until this dam of truth bursts. When it does, the WHO and CCP will be swept away with the consequences.
